En esta obra, se ensayan seis modos de encarar, en terminos Comprensivos, el conocimiento de la realidad social y politico. Se asume como categoria social: el movimiento. Pues es lo que subsiste en o bajo la diversidad de formas del ser, tanto de la naturaleza como sociales. La realidad se expresa en hechos y, es en estos, mediante los que se particulariza o concretiza. Pero, aun en estos, es el movimiento lo que les gobierna, lo que los hace nacer como perecer o modificarse. Por tanto, se afirma que este es identicamente igual a realidad, o esta identicamente igual a aquel. Con esta perspectiva el autor se sumerge en el pensamiento de autores contemporaneos, buscando desentranar los nucleos conceptuales de sus modos de comprension. En cada uno de estos autores, se pretende hacer una descripcion concisa, con excepcion de Wittgenstein, sobre su modo de encarar el conocimiento en ciencias sociales y politicas. De Wittgenstein se destaca su "forma fija"; de Weber, la idea de "acto significativo"; de Collingwood, su idea de "realidad capsularia"; de Skinner, actos de habla "ilocucionarios" y "perlocucionarios"; de Kuhn, "el paradigma"; de Bloch, el "todavia no ser."
